It is with a heavy heart that I share that former Arizona Republic writer and PFCS member Randy Cordova passed away. Randy’s battle with brain cancer came to an end 4 years to the day that he was diagnosed.

Randy was an incredibly talented writer, a wonderful  human and my dear, sweet friend. He was also childhood neighbors with PFCS Treasurer, Vique Rojas. His presence on the planet will be missed.

From his wife: Randy’s services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023.

Visitation will start on 9:30am with a Rosary at 10am followed by Mass at 10:30am at the Franciscan Renewal Center at 5802 E. Lincoln Drive, Scottsdale, AZ, 85253

Burial will immediately follow at the St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix, AZ

The picture above highlights one of Randy Cordova’s favorite movies – The Poseidon Adventure. We visited  the model at the Los Angeles Maritime Museum in San Pedro in 2012. He loved studying every detail of it! Not pictured is me waiting patiently on the side.
